![]() Sometimes we miss a message but we try to keep on them and by bookmarking this link you can be reminded to keep checking the inbox. ![]() I have an assistant helping me monitor this inbox and alert me of important messages that they cannot answer quickly. This is really important to monitor a few times a day. Sometimes I get hundreds of messages and many of them are LEADS and POTENTIAL CLIENTS. Purpose: Most people only get a few messages every week but I get dozens of messages every day. You get an email and you can now respond to it and keep the conversation going. You need to be reviewing this often and taking action quickly. Who commented, who liked, who mentioned me, who has a birthday, etc. There is always something interesting going on with my notifications. I click on this link like 20 times a day to see what is going on. People from 10 years ago may have abandoned LinkedIn but these people are PRESENT so engage with them and nurture these important LinkedIn connections. Recent connections are FRESH CONNECTIONS that means they are using the platform. Build a relationship by sending them direct messages, reviewing their profiles and content, and seeing who I can turn into a referral partner or client in the future. I like to see the last 25 people I connected with each week and go deeper with them. Purpose: If you want to see WHO your most RECENT connections are this is the ONLY WAY to segment connections based on RECENT. There are sections and filters that let you see who the interesting people are etc. We teach our students to send connection requests, thank people that are first degree connections with a DM, and also research new opportunities. Check it a few times a day and see who is viewing your profile. Maybe they saw you in search while they were looking for someone that does what you do. Maybe they googled your name and they found your LinkedIn profile. Purpose: When someone comes to your profile, they are interested in YOU. This helps me stay aware of what is going on with my content. I click on that link like 5 times a day at least. You want to look at this on a regular basis so you can go back to your past posts and reply to comments and get inspiration for new posts. Purpose: For you to easily find your previous posts. Let's review each one so that you understand how to find it and WHY it's helpful for your business.
